FPO 0
Can understand why you wife worries, other kids can be pretty rotten (i was bullied for 10 years because i once had nits!) However, glad he enjoyed himself and like everyone else has been saying dont think 5 is too young, My Husbands boy was out with us when he was that age admittedly they got a bit board but 19 Now and still remembers the things he did then and enjoys the memories of special time with Dad. Your son will no doubt soon learn that there are some kids/adults in this world that are daft, they only want to watch telly or play on computer and miss all the fun that is outside! He will be the one laughing when he is fitter and healthier than the rest. My step lad now brings his friends down to see us as they think it is "well cool" to have a dad that has guns, traps, working dogs, and a freezer full of propper meat!! Keep up the good work! Guest Frank
Thanks FPO. Unfortunately, we had a big row today and i cant take him anymore. Life sucks at times ha? Not to worry, just get on with it, but i cant seem to be a dad like i should be, as apparently, im a bad dad for doing what i did. Thanks all very much. :thumbs-up: Frank. Thats nothing anyway, my youngest went into playschool and told the teachers "There was a deer in my front room last night" ............it was one I picked up roadkill.........my god I would have loved to see the teachers face J Quote Link to post

Guest craftycarper
For a start i would sit her down in front of the pc and let her read this thread from start to finish, then take the lad on a fishing trip, but don't forget to pack the stinkers & nets , by the way does she eat rabbit? As for the fishing tell her she's a bloody hypocrit, fair enough it's the largest participated sport/hobby in the country but point out that there is just as much flak getting thrown at that by the anti's as well, bet she's a bloody vegetarian as well... Yokel Matt 918
Out in the fresh air, exercise, father / son bonding, organic wild food... better than being infront of the TV or hanging around outside a 7-11 or Spar. Birthdays will be cheeper as well.. it will be 'can i have my own spade' instead of i want a PS3 or Wii. Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Thanks LY. You are correct about cheap birthday. As he wants a camo jacket, brand new, only 15 Euro. Frank. Quote Link to post

Jettyboy 174
Nice one Frank - nice to see you getting the young un into it. You'll soon win the Mrs round like you did with the whippet. My little lads just turned 2 and I can't wait to take him rabbitting with me - my 6 year old daughter wants to come but we go out too late otherwise I wouldn't have any choice (and she talks too much - there wouldn't be a rabbit left around for miles!!). Good Luck! Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Cheers Lads. Frank. Quote Link to post
