jasper65 6
Anyone tried both the above? if so how did you rate them against each other? Reading up about them there seems not much difference in weight between the two, I use FTT's now in the Air Ranger with some decent results but always on the look out for a better Pellet if one is recommended . andyfr1968 772
Hi, Jasper. I used to use the Silhouettes many years ago and I really rated them, they're a rather old design but they got it pretty much right and they've not changed them in the best part of 30 years. I've used the .177 FTT's in my old RWS 52 with very good results and I know a lot of lads on here and elsewhere who swear by them, they're a much more modern design. Give the Silhouettes a go, if your gun likes them you won't go wrong. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hey Jasper, I have never done a direct comparison, but the FTT's worked (.22) well in the S200 but I used the Sil's in my HW40 Pistol (.177) and they performed very well indeed (rang the bell at 10M almost every time). jasper65 6
Many thanks guys . this gun seems to get on ok with the FTT's yet all the obviouse choices that suit other Daystates such as AA's, Selects, and a few others all seem for some reason to throw a fair amount of flyers . the FTT's seem the most stable out of them all! I know they're slightly heavier than the other pellets mentioned which could have somthing to do with it. I'm always willing to try a different pellet in the hope I find the perfect combination atb Jasp Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hey Bud, If weight is a stabalising factor (and in many pcp's heavier weight does seem to feature) have a go with the Bisley Magnums. You'll not have many squizzers run off with one of them in the noggin and we all know that at this time of year they would like the extra few grains :11: Phantom Quote Link to post
mushroom 14,247
Never tried them Jasp so cannae comment but will say the newer shapes ie rangemasters do definately have a desired effect Only problem is they is fecking expensive, I only use them in windy conditions an by'eck do they improve trajectory. I never adjust my scope just practice on calm days and learn the difference in POI Quote Link to post

Its sweetspot is 150BAR anything above this gives me a few flyers. I'm 100% up for one of them Tench Regulators provideing I have some money left after Christmas . Jasp Quote Link to post
