Rats In An Old Youth Club

Ok I was called to a rodent problem in an old building were there’s no utilities no water, gas or electricity ECT identified the problem as a medium infestation of (Rattus norvegicus)

Were there are two main entry points a hole made by the rat’s under one of the doors and the other coming up threw the toilets, As you can see in the photo.

It’s an old youth club that has shut down.

Always makes me laugh when you tell the client they can come up the u bend and you can visibly see them clench.

Block as many escape routes as you can,and leave it until night ,go in with terriers and the ones that go for their usual escape hole will be taken because its blocked.worked many a time for me if you are allowed to take them that way.

If they are using the toilet as an entry then the problem is bigger than you first thought as they are coming from the sewers and the numbers can be huge cap the toilet off from the wall with a bung and the problem will halve straight away .

Not gonna work if they are coming out of the toilet, they will go straight back down it when you turn up with the dogs

 

A bung in the toilet pipe will solve the problem much quicker

got to agree...block off the bog. Turd munching rats as we know carry all the Mr. Meaner under the sun. If this is not achievable, I'd lather the whole pan with bromadioline or difenicoum Gel. That will ballax em ;-)
