Laser Genetics ND 5

Recommended Posts

I've had a good look at them, and decided that for what they do they are extremely expensive! Sure, they provide good downrange illumination, but they use about the worst light colour for lamping (the greens are the most visible wavelengths to most animal eyes) and the collimator does a fairly poor job of putting the light in the right place.

Lasers have their place in shooting, attached to the bottom of a pistol or smg for CQC, where you can use them as "point and click" sights. They are also handy for air rifle shooting, to aid range estimation. As a lamp for foxes, they are extremely expensive and don't give any appreciable benefit over a standard lamp.

If you want the best night shooting solution, then proper NV kit is the way forward. These high powered, collimated lasers aren't anything like NV, not a rival at all!

Madness, like the Li ion batteries.

Hi mate ,I wouldn't be without my lithium ion battery pack, they are very expensive though I suppose too expensive for what they are,I would never go back to lugging around the heavy battery again...

I don't doubt that they work, or that they're light. As you say, it's the price I object to.

Thanks for that advice I shall keep away from those.
