We don't get in to conflicts for moral reasons, it is to protect our assets and way of life, the falklands has oil and is a strategic location as well as having a handful of brits living on it.

 

Iraq will be better off without Sadam. The oil companies are already working there and hiring people and before long the money will start filtering down and get used to pay off insurgents with incentives not to fight. My mates work in Basra and by all accounts itn't not bad there...wouldn't fancy walking about in the street just yet though

 

The british army was sent in to india to support the East India Company, we plundered India etc etc but that country is a million times better off now that if we haddn't done it. Same applies to many of our ex colonies.

 

We all benefit from someone elses misery.

Its only the fact that its remembrance day that stops me showing the consequences in detail of your lads handy work, seeing kids entrails spread from one side of the street to anothe isnt pretty, thats why the bbc only show the coffins coming home, and not anything else that would instantly turn you against the armed theiving.
