Dont slip the dog until you know hes seen it.If he is keen you will feel him pull as you walk it up. This is working for me with my pup. MAKE SURE THE RECALL is second nature. Quote Link to post

The youngster might even wind him before the rabbit leaves it seat. if he wants to get the dog to run the beam then sighting is the only sense he needs.scentint could cause the dog to go for non targeted rabbits.ie hunting up.good in the day but not on the lamp. hickymick 37 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Share Posted November 12, 2010 first how old r the lurchers?try feeding em on lamp,try taking em out with a dog thats good on lamp,try taking em out with airgun nd let dogs watch then pick up the shot rabbits as they still move a bit,hope these help,most of these tips work,but not with all lurchers,sssshh too meny secrets,for now....oh do run them one at a time its easyier..poched rabbits taste better Quote Link to post
