skinnyrat 0
as long as the meat hasnt gone off,it will be perfectly ok to refreeze it, Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
Dogs dont get food poisoning like we do, just look at what they will scavenge and eat when out. It will be fine to refreeze if its still fresh. If you cook it you will have to spend ages taking the meat from the bones. MOLL. Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Agree Molly to a certain point. Several years ago, i had a whole deer off a fella for my lurchers, cut it up and stuck it into the freezer. We had some bad storms that year and the power had gone for a day or 2, the meat defrosted. I refroze it, thinking it would be safe and fed it to the dogs when defrosted again. Big mistake, 2 out of the 3 dogs died , 1 just about survived. When the postmortems were done and the surviving dog had tests, BOTULISM was confirmed. Warning, please becarfull with all meat. Frank. Quote Link to post

king 12,038
going by what frank said it would be wise to throw the lot away it's not worth losing a dog for a bit of meat chuck the lot and refill the freezer Quote Link to post
