bsa r10 177 got it's first kill tonight YAY

hi ya folks

well i managed to get out for an hour today to break the r10 in so i went to my trusty golf course to see if anything was about hummmm nothing ??????????? then there he was the big bad dog fox i have been after for a while but the crafty sh** is clever and not having the shotties with me he knew that i couldnt do anything he is that wise you can fire over his head and he will still stand there looking at ya hummmm next week i thought to myself so off i went to see if any rabbits were about NONE what so EVER dam fox he needs to go and i will be the one that does it so it started to get dark so i took another walk through the trees when i spotted this little bugger a nice shiny squizzer very clean looking to so i stopped brought the r10 to my shoulder and took aim and what happens the tree rat goes behind a branch so i couldn't get a good head shot and being the r10 is a 177 shot placement is paramount so i slowly headed around and out away from the tree so i didnt spook him as i needed to get him i got just out to a lased 21mtrs which was just fine for me to get that head shot then whack i got the shot MR squizzer dead like a lead balloon his tail didnt even twitch nothing proper dead i was stood there with a big smile on my face and holding the r10 like a baby and a proud dad lol but we have all done it on a new gun when we have got the first kill with a new gun lol

anyway as it was getting a little to dark now i got some pictures and headed off home happy as larry here are a couple of pictures of the r10 and squizzer and a couple of the shoot i got to as well the other morning

this is a place i got to that is very hard to shoot the rabbit warrens are in the middle of a field clever as they will spot you straight off good defence i think lol

Another grey bites the dust, I would be laying in the hedge bottom with a bit of scrim for camo, the rabbits would'nt see you then SPA.

funny for you to say that buddy dom (redeye jedi) on here dropped me a big load of camo netting so that will be for my next 4 days off as i am back to work tomorrow for 4 nights then i will get the netting sorted out for another 4 days hunting lol but yeah first shot and kill for the bsa r10

i aint to sure yet as i like the long barrel well it is still shorter than my hw100kt but i am hoping to get a twink mk2 sorted out soon as the sak is ok for now but if you could get a price list emailed to me so i can see what is what then i can put some money to one side for it and you are only 45 minute drive from me so i could drop it off to adi and we could go for a shoot if you like buddy ?

you sure did buddy that is a back garden of my friends house i shoot on they have 40acres in total which is nice lots of squizzers and rabbits but still very hard to shoot as their isn't a lot of cover for you if you know what i mean but yeah your more thanwelcome to pop over and have a ferret and shoot matey theres alot more warrens in the other garden too

Lol no mate i was only kidding it'll spoil your sport mate. like you said its a good chance to use that netting. lol my week gets worse, my car fecked on sunday and now the wife smashes her motor up tonight. fecking women thats 2 in less than 6 months.

I like the look of R10 ,but i also like the look of the hw100,mmmm what would i prefer .thers only one way to find out .......FIGHT.

it was a big squizzer buddy very clean to and i am loving the r10 buddy she is very well balanced as well so feels right when holding her the hw100 can get very heavy but again fantastic gun and thank you matey for the comment

You know why they call me "The Cotton Tail Assassin" don't you?

That warren would be a very sweet killing ground for me.

Best place to shoot from either the treeline if in range, or laid prone right in front of it chuck the netting over you and the gun or do as I do, a little ambush hide no taller than 1.5feet few twigs and scrim, barrel up against the side and as soon as they are 3 feet from the hole
