FERRETBOY 680
nice one mate, how long it take to make and how much it cost you.im going to knit a 25yrd net with 100% bagging. goodhunting rew Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
it weighs in at about 1.3/1.4 kilo's without the line, so it cost me that amount of twine what size mesh you using for it? if using a 4.25" mesh you will need to knit 850 rows (425 meshes) it took me about about 28hours over 2 months to complete, the net will be 50yarder with 100% bagging, so that there sheet is 100yards long. Nice to have a net or two that you have made yourself Quote Link to post
woodga 170
yes it is and nicer still to pay for the materials you still owe certain parties for twines ect dont you ryan ?? members who help other members and who get dropped in the shit is not on in my opinion and they should be named and shamed every one is not what they seem it appears Quote Link to post

Hello mate, i am a member of the elite fighting force too! getting back to your army spun nets i have made a few purse nets but find hemp better.Once thought aboot making longnet out of the good old army string but once wet it would be to heavy?? so i have just made 2 stop nets out of hemp(spare spools)like wise i to can get loads of the stuff, might give it ago?? all the best Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
imagine it would make quite a handy stop net but perhaps a longnet over 50yards would be quite heavy... as lindsay says once it get s wet it would become very heavy..... Quote Link to post
