FightTheBan 1,147
Lol. I could have told you that a while back. The only pickup half worth what you will pay for it is the hilux. All the others have major faults and loose their value quicker than a used condom. Hilux or landrover. Nothing else will give you anywhere near a return on your money. ginga john 268
If you service regularly and dont abuse them (Navara D22) they will do 180k miles without any trouble at all They're not racing cars and only blow up if you abuse them Some had dodgy main bearings fitted but this was a few of the late 04 early 05 plates Its not the car its the driver
FightTheBan 1,147
No, its definately the car. They have a very bad reputation for doing this. Soft as shite engines and economy parts. Just to add, I know how you feel as I cooked my van a few weeks back. Out of interest, what do you think is wrong with it? FTB

FTB I know for a fact that the timing chain done the damage mate......a known fault in that engine. 75k miles and it goes bang and Nissan say "Unlucky" but your on your own. Happened to 3 other people i have now spoken too and yet Nissan still maintain that there is "not" a fault...... Never again will i have a Nissan, there customer service is the pits
FightTheBan 1,147
Aye. To be fair mate, most of them are the same. Once its past warranty they don't want to know you unless you want a shiny new one. How much will you be for a new engine? 2k plus I would immagine. Really bad luck. I ended up selling my van as a non runner because I didn't want to be majorly out of pocket for a new engine. FTB
Simoman 110
It is a design fault, bnought mine with 45,000 on the clock, its now done 170,000 after 4 years. The only thing that has gone wrong in this time has been the diesel pump, although this cost £1,

FTB Think you can pick up engines for around 1500 but i wont be bothering, i'll be selling it as a shell and let somebody have a little project.
