i've got a mrk3m set up and i use 3 collers at the same time. it picks up all 3, ive just got to be carefull when i'm trying to locate one of the ferrets that if i've got one in the box that the box is fare enough away or you start to pick it up and get a false reading. never had a mrk 3 just the 3m so i dont know if its the same

No, the tones are the same, the locator is'nt for knowing where your ferrets are, because you know where they are, its for finding a ferret or ferrets you have lost track off, or not seen for a while, if you enter 4 ferrets and lift 3, and one's missing, then you use the locator to find it, if that makes sense

You can also use it to see which ones are on the move and if one is at a stand stil how deep your ferrets are working etc etc etc lots of uses not just finding one lost ferret ; )
