show it the ferret, if it tries to bite it tell your dog no. once your confident your dog wont bite the ferret put them on the floor together and if ya dog gets over excited and starts trying to nip tell it no. eventually they will get on and the dog won't try and kill your ferret. walking your dog passed the cage helps too. thats how i did it anyway and they are alright.

Breaking the dog to the ferret is the first priority, and that means getting them together as often as poss.

I used to have my terrier eating it`s breakfast with my ferrets. They have to be used to each other.

The first time the fert nips the dugs nose will help it achieve a healthy respect for the wee buggers.
