MORE FOX ATTACK PRESS REPORTS - Copies wanted please.

Recommended Posts

There have been a number of press reports of a fox attacking a woman while she lay asleep in bed. They will have been reported in either today's press (Friday Sept 10th) or will appear in tomorrow's editions.

So far I'm aware it's been reported in the following papers...

The Telegraph:

The Sun:

The Daily Mail:

The Standard (that may be the London Evening Standard):

If anyone has copies of the actual newspapers, or any others which may have reported it could you please PM me.

Tiff that looks a brilliant article .

The antis are always telling us foxes "dont do this" and "don't do that". Simply because they're prolific writers (as well as liars) and are prepared to spend all of their time attacking what we do (whereas very few of us are prepared to commit ourselves in a practical sense to defending our activities), they tend to get their message across far better than we do.

It’s for that reason that most local authorities no longer pay any regard to fox control as a necessary activity and a far cry from the days which I well remember when most local authorities had a register of terrier men/clubs in their area who would deal with such issues. Call outs were so frequent that at times it was impossible for us to keep up with the demand… could you imagine that happening now ?

The recent spate of fox attacks on pets, children and now adults serves to show what happens when foxes are left uncontrolled in our towns and cities. And the very reason that they need to be controlled in our countryside where domestic livestock and game birds are a much easier and more readily available target.

It's important our opponent’s lies are exposed for what they really are, and that the general public are kept informed and constantly reminded of the kind of damage and mayhem which an out of control fox population can create.

Under the current laws it is only legal to use a dog below ground to “protect game birds being kept to be shotâ€.... NOT TO PROTECT HUMANS, PETS OR LIVESTOCK !!!

At some time in the near future this matter will be debated in Parliament and these press cuttings will be an invaluable aid in that debate. It’s an opportunity which must NOT be lost or wasted !!!

If anyone does have copies of these or any similar type articles (it needs to be the actual newspapers themselves so they can be scanned in and stored) then please PM me. I promise you they will be put to good use.

Barrie would you like me to contact the Fullham Chronical to see if they will send you a copy of that paper?

Tiff as always you're a star and a cute one too (trust me lads she REALLY is).

But it really shouldn't be up to someone on that side of the Pond to do the work when there are plenty on this side who don't. Hopefully someone will come up with the goods, there was/is a fairly active area of the F&M down south, maybe one of their members could locate a copy.

Nevertheless you're a good 'un, thanks for the offer :good:
