My wife had a go with the airgun years ago and now has her own rifle, runs her own lurcher and enjoys a days ferreting now and again. Shes probably taken more game that alot of the macho wannbe hunters on here. She is also very involved with horses which has led to tons of extra permission. Pull your head out your arse and give her a bit of encouragement. Is it so wrong that the he wants a hobby by himself without involving his wife.....? If your the kind of person that wants to spend every minute with your other half then good for you but some people are different... Fair point, i might have been a bit harsh. Didnt he say that he'd asked her to come out with him though? I thought the main issue was with the colour of gun she wanted which seemed a bit sad to me? Maybe i got the wrong end of the stick, its happened before and im sure it'll happen again On a more personal note, between her work, her uni, my work, the horses, the dogs and the hunting we'd never see each other if she didnt hunt and i didnt show an interest in the horses. Compromise is a good thing too, my girl' is a die hard rangers fan( nothing i can do about that ) and she is at the games most weekends which leaves me to get on with things that i enjoy.....when the football season finishes we struggle to find things to do without repeating everything. I wouldn't have her out hunting and stuff though, saying that i dont think she would want to anyway....... Quote Link to post

Mine is no die hard hunter so shes not out with me everytime but because shes been out at least she understands what i've been doing when i come in soaked and muddy! Its nice though on a bright frosty morning to have some company out ferreting and once shes had enough she goes home to put the roast on and carries the mornings rabbits back with her! rabbit.slayer.no.1 3 Posted September 8, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 8, 2010 lol im not homo-phobic i dont mind if she came out once or twice but she wont come out and use my rifle because its NOT pink. i dont want to spend money on a pink one incase she comes out once and its left in cupbourd , plus once i buy her one i will lose alot of money trying to sell a pink rifle lol. i was going to get her a second hand ratcatcher and spray it pink since they are cheap and if she dont like it no harm done . and if she likes it then i can save up for a better one.
