If you cant get on Bessie, try the Aquila, Chris the skipper, top man.

If you a bit farther over the South Coast, try the Meerkat at Looe, Steve, another decent skipper.

Where are you thinking of staying? Cheers, D.

Spent many happy holidays fishing off the peir at mevagissey as a kid.

If you can't get out on a boat there's some decent rock marks down that way should be good for pollack and wrasse. Good time of year for bass to , Pentewan sands is near mevagissey can be good for bass, good holiday park right on the beach loads To do for the kids and missus whilst you sneak off bassing.

sounds good to me mate what bait from the pier ?

Mackeral feathers, maybe baited with mackeral strips, or sand eels are good as well. Quite a few places sell them around the coast.

 Cheers, D.

Yeah mackeral feathers or float rig baited with sandeel or mackeral should catch mackeral, gars or pollack.

Fishing straight out from the end or to the right along the wall we used to find best, although my brother caught a nice flounder straight down the wall on the harbour side ( he's a flukey git mind :tongue2: ).

If you can get out for an evening sesh i would try Pentewan ,good month for bass, dont fish to far out ,keep the rig nice and simple and fish sandeel or peeler crab.

Good luck mate
