there no way of telling how many she will have by her size mate.i have a tiny jill i bred 2 year ago and she didnt look that big.had a litter of 14.the same jill has just dropped kits lastnight or early hours this morning.dont know how many is there this time.no intention of breeding this year but the vas hob wasnt a vas hob

i bred my first litter for the experence may 15 th the kits were born i wanted to keep a jill back for myself. lucky i only had 5 kits 2 jills 3 hobs cost me about £60 to feed them for 11 week and its hard work when you have 6 ferret i one hutch and they all come blasting out at you anyway i ended up giving them away. i wont be breedin them again lol so now im lookin to have my hob spade but my local vet said £89 i told them where to go

Youl be looking a long while to get a hob spade its females that are spade males are castrated-pet ferrets mostly) or vasectomised so it can bring a female out of season.

These litters seem quite late in the year is it the jills second season?

MIne alway have em quite early and, touch wood, dont come into season again!
