Cutting alloy beer barrells in half?

Recommended Posts

will take hours with a 4 1/2 inch grinder borrow a sthil saw with 12 inch metal blade if you can be done in seconds

Depends on the disc. I use 1mm cutting discs for aluminium and sheet steel. They cut like a hot knife through butter, but you need to be careful not to put any side load on them or they break up

i use the galvanised buckets for my dogs water now. they used to be the same as yours Aaron, tipping them over as soon my as back was turned. never had the problem since using the buckets plus they have the handles on

That was going to be a plan too mate, but I got the barrel free ;)

Hope you're keeping well.

Ive got a few spare gas bottles, plan to make a woodburner. Worth mentioning to anyone who thinks they are a good idea for 'recycling' I plan on taking off the valve, filling with water for a few days to remove/lessen the risk of BOOM when I startcutting them up.

why not just get the water bowls that clip in to the mesh in the run ,thats if you have mesh

He's not in a run mate, he's on a chain in the yard, have tried the bowls on stands and also mounting them on the fence, but he just flips them, dunno if deliberate or if he's just a big clumsy oaf.

Chid, I can't polish a bucket lol, if it's in my house it's got to be shiny, I've got a bit of a shiny fetish!
