MORNING STALK

Recommended Posts

I arrived at my ground at 7.30 this morning just as dawn was breaking. I decided to have a look at a piece of clearfell where I knew a few fallow congregate.

Immediately on arrival I spotted a young fallow calf without its mother ambling across the brash , so it needed to be culled. I dropped to the floor and took the shot at approx 120yds with a heart shot , the calf stumbled forward and collpased dead :D

Then I continued to another spot where I knew some roe frequented , but not this morning :( but I did manage to spy a beatiful fox lying in some rushes sunning itself in the morning sun. I managed to stalk to about 200 yards from it , and was just about to take the shot when all I heard was BANG BANG well up jumped the fox and off it ran :censored: Some body with a shotgun was having a pop at some ducks , I hope he missed them :11: :11:
