when to start ferreting

Recommended Posts

i have always worked from september but whats times do you start.

in times of climate change a rabbit beeding period is all but non existant with young rabbits being caught almost all through the winter.

do you think that the best times to start working are now very open to interpritation.

whats your view and when do you start, that is if you stop at all

many thanks tony

i was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the best times to start with how the climate is changing the breeding. we were catching month old rabbits in late jan early feb last year

i think that your advice is the best to be spread to others. we are in unknown territory and everyone will have to experiment to find what works best for the area you are in.

i think we all need to start making notes on numbers and sizes to gain a better idea if how breeding is being affected. this goes for all other animals in the eco system. coz conservation may become a big subject in all areas in not to distant a future.
