Escapey ferret

at about 9 tonight, one of my ferrets came running in back door while we were watchin tv, "oh shit" hutch must be open, put her away and checked hutched 2 were missing and must gone under back gate. i went left mrs went right after quick look seen albino jill run into a bush, caught her put away, then after about another 45 mins got call from mrs she had found sandy jill on step by front door, so she had gone all way from back round to front which is about 70yards, she is now sat on lap in blanket sleeping while purring. usually she is hyperist ferret ever seen, had as kit so friendly but dont usually keep still, not sure if she just real tired or in shock from maybe seeing a cat? anyone else had this when finding missing ferret?

ferrets purr???? lucky you got her back mind and she might well just be knackered

I've never heard a ferret purr before either but im pretty sure that is what she is doing

Are you sure she isn't snoring ? Bert the Fert often kips under the sofa, and we can him snoring clearly

happened to one of my poleys a few weeks back,escaped was away for a few hours,gave up hoe of him till she came running in the back door and it had never been in my house in its life.was well happy.glad you got yours back mate

sure not snoring, caus was doing it when awake and stroking her!
