FOXHUNTER 5,022 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 Out again last night , 1st farm we tried saw nothing at all except a yearling roebuck. So moved onto another farm , as I drove up the farm road a fox crossed right in front of the car which had been spooked by a fisherman , I got out the car but it was having none of it and disappeared sharpish... Ratch then lamped 2 cubs out on a rape stubble , I proceeded to call using my hand and 1 of them screamed in to around 40 yards. The .22/250 spoke and that was a dog cub in the bag , meanwhile its sibling just sat at the bottom of the field totally oblivious . Unfortunately not a safe shot so lived to see another day !!!
