how do you hunt the pigeons?

Hello all menbers

I´m new in this forum and in this country because I´m from Spain.

Now in Spain star the pigeon hunting 16 of agust And i couldn´t to hunt because i´m here in London.I’m an impassionate of this kind of hunt, and I see many pigeons here en England , and i want know how you do for hunt. What kind of cartridge, if you hunt in the fields or you they go to sleep.

 

We hunt in the fields in the morning and in the evening we go to the forest. Do you can use the electronic decoys? Because we can´t use electronic or mechanic decoys only the plastic decoys or live decoys

Out in the field, do plenty of searching on here. Most people use plastic decoys, and / or rotary devices to encourage the pigeons to land. At the moment, with the corn being cut in the fields there are literally millions of pigeons flying in.

a flapper up a tree lol , even tho i bet effective it wouldnt go down well here in the uk .

We use plastic decoys of all manners, shells, full body, fuds (fold up), various bouncers, magnets, flappers, you name it, someones made it.... we do use dead birds on the pigeon magnets, bouncers, flappers, etc and replace the plastic decoys with the real birds as you shoot them.. Its illegal over here to use live birds.. Some people also roost shoot at night as the birds come into the woods to settle down... We do not have a closed season for wood pigeons in this country allthough they are shot under a general license, based on preventing crop damage... http://www.basc.org.uk/en/shooting/general-licences.cfm
