stubby 175
totally illegal over here to use LIVE DECOYS Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
Out in the field, do plenty of searching on here. Most people use plastic decoys, and / or rotary devices to encourage the pigeons to land. At the moment, with the corn being cut in the fields there are literally millions of pigeons flying in. IanB 0
We use plastic decoys of all manners, shells, full body, fuds (fold up), various bouncers, magnets, flappers, you name it, someones made it.... we do use dead birds on the pigeon magnets, bouncers, flappers, etc and replace the plastic decoys with the real birds as you shoot them.. Its illegal over here to use live birds.. Some people also roost shoot at night as the birds come into the woods to settle down... We do not have a closed season for wood pigeons in this country allthough they are shot under a general license, based on preventing crop damage... http://www.basc.org.uk/en/shooting/general-licences.cfm Quote Link to post
