Interesting read about the media bias of Pit Bulls

Recommended Posts

As some may know I had these ''savages'' for 25 years and never NOT ONCE,had I 1 incident that concerned me over their stability or temprement towards people/kids.I didnt read the piece above as Ive heard it all before too many times from those that dont have a clue how the bull terrier in general think.I got rid of my last bull terrier dog to a mate a year ago and I still really miss having one about.Their a different challange compared to any other dog but I really enjoyed my time with them,I had every one of mine reared in the house with the kids and some were a bit fiesty and some were laid back, but ALL were a delight to own.The real reason they are slated by the press in my eyes is because the pups were sold to anyone with a fist of notes and a lot were not fit to have such a great breed,GREED RUINED THE BREED.

According to you the man was an idiot who owned a pit type dog and we all agree that these type of dogs can be dangerous in the hands of a irresponsible owner . Obviously this man couldnt control his dog and shouldnt be allowed to keep it and as a responsible dog owner and upstanding member of the community you should have reported him

You've obviously got a problem and want an argument with me so all I'll say on this is, Yes the man is an idiot and shouldn't have a dog like that, Yes I am responsible with my dogs, but no I'm not an upstanding member of the community.

Is that good enough for you?

no, not at all the farthest thing on my mind . I was just offering my opinion on the subject

But you haven't offered an opinion on the original subject of the thread, all you've done is have a dig because I called him a Paki, and because I didn't grass him up.

I wasnt having a dig at anyone . My opinion of the media is very low so if i give an opinion regarding the media it will be biased so i shall with hold it

Right.

Couldn't have out it better myself, my first dog was a Pitbull x Stafford & I couldn't have had a better dog! Great with kids, great with other dogs as long as they didn't try to pick a fight . I still miss her to this day & would have another if I had the more space & less terriers!

The best time the apbt breed had in this country was the following 10 years after the 91 dda when they were banned and folk were being hit with big fines just for owning them it meant only the real dedicated followers of the breed would keep or breed them, the more strict the law was the higher quality the dogs became. Then when the laws relaxed and a certain kennel of " good dogmen " :whistling: started selling them out to the pakies they became a fashion item and gradually the quality got lower to the point where the breed as a whole is at its lowest ever since arriving on these shores.I love the breed but i wouldnt own 99% of dogs that have been bred in England over the last ten years if given me for free !

I would say if your going to point the finger of blame point it in the right direction......and to me the right direction is not the pakies, the kids and idiots who dont know any better.....its the desperate, greedy " good dogmen " :censored: who did know better and sold the breed and themselves out for money !
