I hope the pics work. The tan dog is a dog and he is nine months old his father and mother are both 100% The bridle is a bitch and she is elleven months old she has taken 4 coyotes this year but I am afraid she had a bite that got infected and will have to wait till she is feeling better. I really like these two and since the females injury I lent the rest of my hound pack to a friend for the season. I was pretty dishaertened when she took ill.

I think that coyotes differ according to the environment, I live about 7000 km from Texas and we have large coyote near the bush areas and smaller faster coyote on the prarries. My dogs are bred for hunting faster prarrie coyotes. They half alot of grey in them the tan dog is half greyhound from the track. he would 3/4 grey rest mix of stag. Any way my dogs do catch jackrabbit, fox , coyote and pretty much any thing that runs away. my dogs are not as big as some. jack rabbits are hard to find around me so I do not hunt them on purpose ut when I take the dogs running they find the odd one :D

I do not enter them in the ground but run them across it. I let the younger dogs chase with a older dog as soon as they figure out how to run. Most dogs will chase but the young dogs after you run them a couple of times get quite keen and start chewing the yote up and wrecking the hide so to remidy this I run the young dog with a fast grey that will usually just trip the coyote, Then the young dog has to grab the throat. that is how my bitch got bit. I try to stick to young coyotes on the dogs under 2. A freind of mine dumped on around 450 yotes last winter, he caught 335. I do not use bait piles just a personal preference. no vids but I will try get soom pics when I go next time. A couple years back a hunter videoed his hounds and the media got hold of it and banned running dogs similar as uk so very hard to get any body to video.

This is the bite it is 7 weeks getting better she is still not right thow. And this is her size for anybody that think they look like wolf hounds. i do not think you can wreck a good one and I also believe in hard culling, If this dog does not hunt or is turned off by a bite or getting torn up she will be gone. I only keep one trip dog and the rest all halve to be killers or they are gone. The trip dog is nessicary to breed speed back into your dogs but to halve only one killer and the rest trippers is backwards the only dogs that usually get hurt are the kill dogs. the odd speed ball trip dog hits a fence or a culvert.

The older dogs should grab by the throat and the coyote is usually dead by the time you get there, if not he is pretty close as all the dogs should grab on and lie down and wait for me to arrive it is hard for them to breath when they catch so if the coyote gets away there is usually not enough dog left to catch him again they learn pretty quick not to let go. I did have a pit bull that would not be far behind and if the coyote was fighting he fixed that problem but I lost him
