scottish lurcher 185 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 do us all a favour and delete that pic from your profile saluki greyhounds, pictures like that will end up getting this site shut down, i would agree brown hares are much faster than blue hares pre ban i have seen dogs that can catch blue hare but are unable to catch browns you need a good dog for these Quote Link to post
Guest SJM Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) No match for a good dog, they run like big white rabbits in thick heather, Ive got a geriatric, semi arthritic collie mutt who can still catch them, sometimes straight out of the bed. Get them up on some short heather and the dog might get a few bends out of them, hold your dog back on a slip and you might even get a longer run, but they dont run anywhere near as well as a good brown hare.
