Tiff 36
I don't know if you can get them there but years ago I have used something called "nematodes" which are a little bug that feed on flea larvae. It takes a bit of time to work but once they are properly established you don't have the problem anymore as they just continually eat the larvae that develop. Luckily we have been in our new place 5 years and touch wood have never had fleas here. Ticks on the other hand are a daily battle! Around the house we dont have any because of the chickens, but out on walks or hunting we are guaranteed to have at least one dog with at least one every single time.

MissRhianL 70
If i was you but, cheapest way to solve this problem, this is no bull sh*t, first of all strip everything out of the kennels, bedding the lot, clean the area with jeyed fluid or any other disinfectant, they all do the same job, if you got sheets for the dog either get new bedding or wash the ones they already have. But dont put the bedding back in until you have more or less sterilized the kennel first. Get any form of flea, tick shampoo and wash the dogs. Dont go folkin out loads of money on frontline etc every week either buy a tub of garlic sauce from a kebab shop or make it urself and pour it over the dogs food or give them a clove of garlic every week. It sounds pathetic i know but it works and it a cheap effective way.
Guest chook
Frontline dosent work as good as it used to do, since it went on sale so anyone could sell it, they reduced the ingredents of it, theres lot sof people complaining about it. Mine get garlic and brewers yeast, 3-4 times a week, i buy pure garlic granuls from the horse suplyers, as it works out cheaper and the yeast from the health shop, only ever had one bout of fleas in 15 years, and thats when i brought my old lurcher home, she was riddled in them.
