JSR Optics

Just a quick one. I'm looking to upgrade the scope on my R10 when it finally gets sorted out! I know the basics behind JSR optics- that they just cut out the middle man and provide the same scopes for less money, but does anybody have any experience of using them?

I've used one of their 2-7x32's for the last couple of years or so and I'm really pleased with it.

 

It's basic (like me...) but I like that. Very clear optics for the price too. The only thing I'm not too pleased about is the IR is a little too bright.

Cutting out the middle man is a load of bollox

 

That was one of the lines we used to use as Kleeneze Distributors

 

The people that do the imports are the middle men!

 

You will may well find that many of the JSR Scopes are Chinese, but simply have JSR stamped on them.

 

But having said that I am a BIG fan of the Chinese manufactured goods

I know a few people who own JSR Scopes and I too looked at them, but found that I could get the same model from the same factory at less than JSR could supply me

 

There is of course nothing wrong with them, but if you look around the Inet, you can get them without paying VAT or import duty this means that buying from certain outlets who send the goods direct to you (hence missing out the'middle-men and importers' may save you a fair old lump as they avoid import duty by claiming it is a gift on the customs sheet rather than commercial sales

Another thing going for JSR is my city centre based RFD really hates them and mention JSR to them and it really gets their backs up :laugh: :laugh:

Thanks for that guys. Basically I want to get the best I can get for sub £100.

 

I've never bought a new scope before- always bought rifle/scope combos. The Tasco Silver Antler on my HW95 is no longer useable (I've no complaints as I've had it since 1996!), so I've moved the my Hawke 3-90x50 off my R10 while it goes back to BSA, and ideally, I'd like to leave it there and put a new scope on the R10 when it comes back.

 

So the long and short of it is I have £100 to play with for a new scope. Personal preference is for an objective lens size of at least 50mm, and adjustable PX is important too.

 

I'd appreciate input from anyone who know's what they're talking about!

get a jsr 8-32x50 its the dogs it beat my bsa essential hands down and its equal to nikko sterling
