Phantom 631
Morning Chris The only silly question, is the one you dont ask! As you say having a reg fitted gives you consistant power on a pcp. Tuning a rifle basically means having it smoothed out. Tuning can be anything from dampening the recoil of a springer to increasing the power, simply making the trigger mech more smooth and crisp is also classed as tuning. Its something that you can do yourself, like polishing up the sears, changing the lube for a better one or if you prefer not to do it yourself, get a smith to do the work for you, A&M seem to be the best as well as Sandwell Field Sports. Regarding prices, I dont know. After tuning, there is also a process called BluePrinting, and this means finishing your rifle (all internals etc) to the exact specification that the designer of the gun created so it results in a spot on rifle; rather than a mass produced rifle as mass produced rifles can have less than ideal finishes like burrs on the metal, or a spring that may be just a touch longer or shorter than was originally intended by the designer. Hope this lot makes sense as I'm falling asleep now (I've been a good boy and taken my meds!) Phantom Quote Link to post
