best insurance for us hunters...

Recommended Posts

The above may be a good budget cover, but what do they contribute towards our sport,& field activities ?? I would rather pay that little more & know , good briefs & guys dedicated to fighting our corner are behind us.

Hence BASC , & great events to boot, with a monthly mag. :notworthy:

The way BASC have been carrying on recently the only briefs they are getting are from the RSPB. They did sweet f**k all to stop hunting ban, messed up big style with the recent game rearing code, didnt do much to stop lead shot ban for wildfowling and are likely to put up little resistance to a complete lead ban....I could go on but wont bore you.

One of the cheapest is national gamekeepers organisation (ngo) dont have to be a gamekeeper, can join as a supporter, half the price (and you still get a magasine)!

There are others Countryside alliance, sga, think even nobs do an insurance, just anybody but BASC :gunsmilie:

NOBS insurance deal is linked to SACS and there is some doubt about whether it covers paid activities such as beating or picking up on shoots, despite reassurances from a SACS director Foxgun Tom has raised his concerns on this forum, the company issuing the cover has failed to reply to me when i requested confirmation from them directly.

BASC has singularly managed to annoy many of its own membership and many other organisations such as NGO,GWCT.CA. CLA etc etc
