zini 1,939
Shot 11 is about 25mm Hi Stealthy buddy , Yeah i think that i should of edited it down to 10 shots only and made out it was only a 10 shot group It would of been a tighter group then To tell you the thruth i didnt really know how many shots id fired until i replayed it in the camera view finder and i was starting to get bored because as each shot went on i was rushing it more and more but it still kept landing in the group hole Next time ill bring a 2 pence piece with me as a 2p is exactly 25mm or a kill zone size and ill cover the group with it for you Si Edited June 5, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 793
thats some good shooting si, and i'm gonna take on board what you said about using the grouping centre to fine tune your zero tonight if the wind's still enough. youre a clever fella mate, ta for making life a bit easier again buddy all the very best, wurz Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Wurz buddy No problem pal, its something we do in the army every time we zero our rifles on the ranges mate. When shooting at 100 metres we aim at the bottom of the white centre paper (bull’s eye) to land just above the bull. This is done so at 300 metres we are still hitting the centre of the target and compensating for the extra 200 metres range within the zero. You will find that you hit the correct area maybe 4 or 5 times out of 10 depending on how skilled you are at shooting and the other 5 or 6 shots will form the rest of the group somewhere else on the target. You just find the centre of the group and then move it accordingly to the correct area above the bull’s eye and it gives you a real fine zero. Si Quote Link to post
JackReid 35
Hello mate, good shooting as always. Guess what.... Less than 5 days and Tony is readyfor me with the 95K. Me and Hugo are driving there after a cup of tea and hes kindly asked me to bring along my scope with the problem so he can have a look at it (I was probing his knowledge on scope probs)! What a gent. Hugo has decided to upgrade his really old nikko stirling silver standard crosshair (real classic feel scope from 90's)to a proper modern one and I'm taking him to Tony as he's the man hahaha :gunsmilie: Will update soon..
