van conversion

Just like to ask,has anyone ever converted a van into the crew cab form,road and insurance legal.I was thinking of doing it and just wondered what it entailed.Was it hard to do and most importantly was it expensive.I tried to see if I could find seats with safety belts on e bay,but for the life of me I cant work the bloody thing at all(how sad is that)I have a 05 Transit and wouldnt mind a back row if not too much hassle.All help greatly appreciated.

I've seen a old volvo estate with the back cut out to be a pick up looked really nice

athe seats look the right job.I wonder if they must be attached to the floors vis the rails or can they be bolted straight to the floor?so much I need to know,lol.

Thanks colin,theyre exactly what Im looking into.Now I need to track down details of the legal requirements as to what spec is required for the conversion.
