To be fair i dont trust anyone,unless there close vouched for etc and would never buy a pup unless i know its backgroud etc etc it goes on!

 

Now the real thing that annoyed me,ive met up with people off the site and, on the site that all say they know the game when realy they dont,could of had excellent dogs but dont, now im no expert with lurchers or terriers and learn something new on every outing,weather it be with the normal people im out with the new people i meet,or out mooching by myself i learn something new.Everyone puts topics up on here about lurchers and terrier but how many are honest,everyone seems to have world beaters,lurcher that do day night,fox,hare,roe,rabbit etc etc no-one ever says well my dog specialises in such and such a quarry IE Rabbits,no-one admits if a dogs shit,or jacked!

 

Same in the terrier game you always here about all the dogs staying until dug to but you never here about the messers,where a dog shows himself 3-4 times during a dig!

 

So can you trust anyone in our sport,weather it be buying a pup,stud a dog,line a bitch can you believe whats said?

Its the same everywhere,i've met some genuine decent folk from this site that know the game but i've also met and know of plenty slavering wannabes that are on here. Just keep doing what you do and leave the dreamers to it even though the place would be a lot better without them.

Welcome to the age of the internet expert. To be honest i avoid other dogmen/hunters like the plague. But then maybe i'm paranoid? or just anti-social?

 

I'm lucky enough to have only ever met one person from here and he is sound as can be and now my permanent ferreting/lamping buddy and lives ten mins away . . . . so you can get lucky!

i no what your saying mate but ive met a few people off here and they were all excatly how they came across over pms, phone calls etc. if you no your stuff you will have your own breeding stock and possibly can find better dogs on here to add to or improve your own lines its just about being open minded and being able to sort the wheat from the chaff which aint that hard. you have to find good stud dogs somewhere and why not on here??? anyone genuinely offering a stud dog would have no probs letting you see the dog working and even dogs out the dog working!!! just do your homework on dog and man and most importantly DO NOT rush into using the dog untill your 100% sure its the dog for you and if not dont use it and search for a better dog to use whe bitch next breaks down

Dont get me wrong mate ive met some great people off here who are 100% honest, ive met some which sound good through pms,phone calls etc which have been poor,sadly ive also seen dogs for stud which are also poor when seen working,so i dont think its as easy as you made it sound but along the right lines! But as above im guessing everyone genuine and normal here take what they hear with a pinch of salt and half of what you see. Annoyes me it has to be this way!

 

I havent posted in a while mainly reading and read a post about a lad that took someone ferereting sounded excellent and was a dreadful out so i read,but i suppose you must take the good with the bad!

most "hunters" I know, that arent on the internet, talk even more shite than the hunters do on here! Honestly the amount of crap I hear from them is unbelievable.
