Davidh 5
Does anyone have experience of working dark polecats ie those with a high percentage of wild blood? I have heard they are almost impossilbe to see and control, is also true they are too quick both in the burrow and when they surface. Any comments welcome. Quote Link to post

I got a very dark jill of of a member on here, he'd bred them for a long time and there was no wild blood whatso ever in them workwise she was easy to enter and a very reliable worker, killed and moved on or stayed till it was killed never laid up with a kill, no problem picking her up at all but as I say there was no wild stock in her background Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post

moonlighter 1,165
Ive mated my jill to a 1/2 cross european polecat. they seem to be a bit more powerful and do work a bit faster. The ones ive worked with are very good and if and when you dig down to them, the rabbit is nearly always dead. they also love rats too. And like all ferrets, if you handle them well then there will be no problems. Quote Link to post
