SEAN3513 7 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Share Posted May 9, 2010 how did we all get started ??? my adventure started by going pigeon shooting with my neighbour and his folding .410 when i was about 6........and i was hooked ( and well fed ) so i saved the coupons out of my mums No6 ciggys and sent off for my first air rifle and fishing rod !!! and the rest is history.......shame its not as simple for the youngsters nowadays. cheers sean Quote Link to post Share on other sites

scent 509 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Share Posted May 9, 2010 i started off being brought shooting when i was about 9 ,then got my first terrier .I used to lamp with my mates full collie cause i wasnt allowed get a lurcher when i was about 11 .I then used to walk about 3 mile to borrrow a lurcher so i could lamp ,lamp for a few hours and then walk 3 mile back to give the lurcher back Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Where I grew up there was hundreds of square miles of orange groves surrounding our subdivision - I hunted quail , rabbits and the occasional pheasant... I did not get into big game hunting until my late 20's and early 30's.... I still love to spend a day or two per year just rabbit hhunting ... I think more so now that I have a wee dog that loves to rabbit hunt...I first started predator calling when I was 14 now it is my favorite hunt.... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
gav22 24 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Share Posted May 9, 2010 i started going clay shooting with my brother and when i was old enough i got a shotgun and membership of the club then i was invited along with other members to hunt birds and fox an rabbits enjoy digging and taking the hounds out the most i dont have a shotgun anymore i have a .22 mag now but i still would tag along with my mates in bird season Quote Link to post Share on other sites
