new to ferreting

Recommended Posts

hi all  , looking at getting a ferret in a few months as some of you already know. Im looking on ebay at some of the ferret finders[mk3 and 2] just wondred what the mk 2 was like. Also do you think I will need a ferret finder as Im not sure if most ferrets come out of the warrens on their own accord. I also heard that some people use string or they smoke them out with a bit of grass.

Stay away from the mk2 ferret finder go for eiter a mk1 or mk3 mate, do plenty of reading up before you get a ferret as todecide whether to go for hobs or jills and the general keeping of ferrets, theres a wealth of information on this forum alone which you can search for

all depends on where your ferreting and what the the rabbits are like. jills will work faster and tend to bolt them, but a hob will push them out when they dont want to bolt. all depends on how you want to ferret. personally, i work jills but ive just bought a new hob. each to there own mate
