But what I don't get is how come so many diseased bunnies in the cemetery grounds, yet just a few yards away they seem to be mostly healthy

 

Weird aint it?

 

Makes me think of what diseases people have died from and are they communicable to Rabbits/rodents could the liquid from a decomposing body somehow make it into the soil and like say Anthrax lay dormant for years

before being injested/inhaled by an animal and then reanimate in the new host?

WOW! That is deep mate, not all warrens are conected, even though they are in close proximity to each other, and rabbits from one warren will only use another rabbit colonies burrows if they're forced to through danger, rabbits are territorial when it comes to burrows, just watch two older bucks sorting out there differences, and watch the fluff fly
