Why are these not suitable quarry for air rifles?

It is a generalisation and in a number of cases a 12ft lb is simply not up to the job...allowing for the margin of error to ensure a clean kill.

Lets not get into a debate, but penetrating the wing feathers on a Pheasant is all but impossible with a 12ft lb, as with a Canada, the reasons can go on, even though we all know every air gunner only ever takes head shots!!

headshots are the most humane. and i don't think a neck shot on a canada goose will go down well! take a look at this: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/html/sections/articles/shooting/ducks.html

Canada geese are hard put down with an airgun, it scuffs up your stock when you beat them to death with it :D

So that's the reason you got the Heavy Weight 100, extra ft/lbs with an over the head swing
