Sorry to steel the thread ferreterno1 :victory: , but while we are on the topic of starting shotgunning:

How much would it cost to start out, reliable second hand gun, cabinet, licence. Because i have been considering it for a while now so i can keep up with my mate (i only shoot an air rifle, he shoots a silver pigeon). It would be for general rough shooting, i was thinking second hand sbs or o/you

i paid £50 for my SGC £50 for my cabinet (second hand) and my second hand gun was £120

so that was £220 to get going

thats pretty damn cheap. think when im ready i will join my local clay club to get some practice and a good foundation and then get down to my local gun shop and have a look at some second hand guns.

i havent completely decided yet but i am certainly more seriously considerring it now. :signthankspin:

does anyone have any experiance with Lanber models or the Yildiz 20-bore? they seem decent but fairly priced shotties

some one said they were using cartridges that were £1.10 each :cry:

Depends on what cartridge you use 3.5" magnum for fox shooting will set you back 80p to £1 each depending on how many you buy

make sure your gun will take them tho otherwise :hunter: :mamba:

cheers bob

Me and my mate started shotgunning at the same time with different start up costs, my secondhand side by side cost 100, his Lamber cost 850, my cabinet was 50 secondhand, his was a couple of hundred...........I buy pigeon cartridges for 28 per 250 although my foxng cartridges are a little more :D
