oakey 57
Does anyone on here use their lurcher in the beating line of any formal shoot ? I'm sure my mate who is a keeper would let me use mine if she can behave .But i don't know how some of the guns would react if my lurcher was to wipe the eye of a £600 gun dog . OldTrapCollector 377
Mine did it regularly - but some paying guns don't like to see them in the beating line even if they are far better behaved than the pedigree gundogs OTC

Probably wont be so critical when your dog rolls a flushed fox infront of them all! Of course the fox will have been pricked and the lurcher slipped as a means of humane dispatch perfectly legal under current laws i beleive. You will find shoots differ quite alot, im very lucky in that the shoot im involved with most the guns are very freindly and happy enough to see a lurcher about.
