The Machine 0
Hi guys, just wondering if any one could help me. i have a springer that i have had from new, its been well looked after not been dropped or anything, but it hasnt had a lot of use. the other day i fitted a scope to it, its a quite old 3-9*40, i know the scopes fine as it worked ok on my primary gun for the last 3 years. So heres the problem, i zeroed the gun to 20 yards and was hitting about a 15mm group, but [bANNED TEXT] i shot at a target at 10yards away i hit the same group but about 60mm to the left of the target. I have never encountered this problem before does any know why this is happening?? Cheers. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Are you using mill dots or the center of your crosshair? Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
What was your primary gun? Springer or PCP? What is the Scope? Some scopes are not designed to take the recoil of a springer and it will knock the zero out quite considerably. Phantom Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
Depends on the recoil of the rifle and how you hold it, without adjusting your zero try going back 5 yards then try again and see if the grouping moves right and keep doing it back to your zero range and see if your grouping is set at zero, then you will know if it is the scopes or YOU..... The Machine 0
Thank you for all your help, im going to try that over the weekend. The scope came off my Pcp as i brought a new one for that, and i used it to the center of the cross hairs. Cheers Edited April 8, 2010 by The Machine Quote Link to post
