sorry if i sound stupid but never been into following the hunt although alot of my mates do!! can you explain what you mean about setting the hounds alight?? never heard of this before and would like to know more!! thanks

Before this gets out of hand I think he's confusing the poor unfortunate hound that crossed the "live" railwayline and got electrocuted with "hounds gettin set on fire" as it's an anti's film they won't show you all the good work the hunt do or the poor lambs/chickens/gamebirds that get slaughtered by rogue foxes

fox don't stand a chance lol it just goes to show how little you know about hunting with hounds ,but you are another example of why some forms of hunting are banned you believe your way is the best and fairest each method has its place in controlling foxes up here there are places hounds are a without doubt the most affective way of controlling foxy thats controlling not just going out for a bit of fun on the lamp

I dont know much about it to be honest a just think its unfair because of th numbers thats all , you will know more than me a just dont agree with it .

No mate just hate this unfair shit 30 odd dogs or whatever vs 1 - i love hunting but i dont class myself as them above th law stuck up red coats , we do 1 dog on 1 fox - 2-3 dogs on a deer depending on the size but no more than 3 - And settin a hound alight on the lines ???? not my cup of tea and a hope all that shite on that video doesnt get made legal - al stick to walkin some fields with me lamp and dogs with the lads gettin sum bunnies hare fox whatever. 8)

You have absolutely no idea what the f**k you're talking about, you've watched a video made and editted by antis and that's what you've based your blinkered views on!!!!! f**k me who needs antis when there's knobheads like you in the game. Stick to the football and leave the dogs alone........................

well how can you comment on something you dont know about ,take the time one day to go out and watch hounds work they are covering vast areas to pick up the scent of a fox then they hunt away on it and remember they are hunting on scent alone foxy could be a good 5 mins or more infront the stamina needed by these hounds is something awesome and the sound of hounds speaking in a valley below or block of forestry whilst your sat on some hills cant beat it those hounds earn there grub ,take the time like i say its only one day in your life then if you still dont agree well thats your choice

i can see that someone who " loves hunting with dogs" has seen a propaganda video and been swayed :whistling:

things do go wrong(dogs getting run over, set alight :wallbash: etc etc) but that is the view they take,"this is the norm" we all know its not.

the controll of foxes with dogs is as necessary as the catching of rabbit with them.for the good of the countryside and ALL animals that live in it,especially the ground nesting birds(of which the pheasant is only one).

we need to stand for that and not bicker among ourselves.

the border now there is a pack to watch if they are going as good as in the past few years get your self a pair o nike trainers on cos they are flying

Zap, I went out with the Border back in the '70's; I would class them then as a Farmers hunt ! No red coats and fancy Hunter horses then, more like Barbour coats and Fell ponies !! They were, and still are a "proper" hunt. Before the ban, foxes were there to be kiled, it is sheep country, after all ! We are spoilt for choice, with hunts in the North East, but the Border was always my favourite, they still meet at Otterburn, I think.

Cheers.
