I think it depends on your budget you would get a dslr entry level & a couple of lens card etc for around 800 quid new

Then if you want to go the point & shoot route i was more than happy with the canon power shot series would get one for around 100 maybe cheaper

have a look at this its the model up to mine only difference is this ones got 10 million pixells mine has 7

sorry forgot to say i would like Rechargeable LI-ion battery if tou know of any kay ?

You mean you want a camera that takes those sort of batteries? There is usually no reason why you can't use rechargeable batteries in cameras that take AA size or similar. If the camera has a specific battery deicated to that particular camera they can be expensive... a battery for one of my dslrs costs more than the whole camera in Kay's link. :icon_eek::(

If you're looking for a small compact camera most of the top brands are good - Canon, Nikon, sony and Panasonic etc will all turn out good shots if the conditions are right. Don't be fooled by thinking more megapixels is necessarily better though... Compacts have tiny sensors and cramming too many MP is not always a good thing...

brand name lithions are horendously exspesive, eg. 40 quid for a canon, 6 quid of ebay etc...

regaurding AA cams, rechargeables may not last as long (bar the hi capcities like 2700mah plus) but as soon as you turn a flash on or the screen then you'll needa credit card for the desposables lol.)

simple maths on it...

3 quid for 4 disposables plus go and get them..one use.

10 quid for 4 rechargeables (even at 50-100 quid more a mega charger) plus go and get them...500-1000 uses.. (charge them yes bit then agaain i havent seen the diference on the electric meter...fair do's it takes a few kettles boiled to see the penies and a kettle is a hi drain)

even at 3 quid, times that by 500, is that 1500 quid? are you worried about the couple quid a shopping sesh petrol x 500 lol........owch!

(even after drinking moonshine long turm you'd notice a 1500 quid difference to yor electric bill lmao..................)

The canon G11 or G10 are fantastic camera's you can use them as a Point and Shoot and as you get more confident you can use the manual controls, i love the BIG 3" screen, they are a little pricier ( same price in pounds as dollars which means your paying twice as much thumbdown.gif ) but really worth it

here's a link My link , you could look on Ebay you'll find much better prices than at Curry's :)

good luck with your search
