They use Fox Terriers taken from England in the '50's and kept true to their working lines.

The host favours smooth dogs and the Wire Fox terrier belongs to the lady in Orange, yes Lady, excellent on the shovel and very knowledgeable about Terrier work.

Wolfie's pup did a cracking job on a 'double dig', the Finns digging to the pup at 1.5. meter's and the Pomms doing a 3 meter job, they beat us to their dog, just.

Owner of Wolfies pup was very pleased with the dog, keeping the game in one place while the racket of digging through frozen soil is going on is a job well done in my opinion.

Piture after those digs, well into the night and b'stard cold :icon_eek:

they call those marderhunde in germany(martin dogs) they are not so widespread there yet but on the advance. apparently they will not bolt and do not see the dog as a real threat(untill its too late that is :whistling: )

what are your experiances with them?

thay are very heavy toward winter(up to a third heavier than the summer weight) and apparently it is all fat.

this is the some of the stuff that i have heard/read so i would be glad of your oppinion.
