sounder 9
well lads , we have our 2 lurcher in training and also a lurcher that belongs to a man that started me hunting many years ago now , as the man had a stoke afew day ago so i was ask to mined his dog's for him , while out walking the lurchers this morning myself and marie i spotting a fox mooching about as the ground was like a rock we did not try to get a run but later on that day, i said i go for a walk with the waterford dog and my own lurcher to see what about or maybe a run of a hare as the ground was ok , after afew fields i seen the waterford dog stuck in a corner mooching about i knew he was gone into second gear , as i got over i seen him drop down into a flag drain, water flowing out well, in seconds he was on i stood back for about 20 min's or so hoping for the bolt i could see where the drain opened up i could hear the dog given it hard then slow the noise stopped fk i said to myself i get no run today i went back to the jeep for the shovel,i always have the dog collor so i found him fast at 0.9 on the box handy .......like fk these drain about here has stone sides with flat flag stone on top but they can be 6 foot x 3 foot or 2 x2 you just dn't know as i clean off the earth i got to the flag it was big but just above that was a handy one and i open it there to find the waterford dog lock to a nice dead vixen both of them soaked to the bone with the amount of water that was flowing down it i say there must of being a ledge of the main drain that she had held up in, i want to hold this dog off for the rest of the season he earned his crust this season but him being him he loves the work , so that was my little outing today atb sounder Quote Link to post
