flytie 1
The fallow are really coming down off the hill at the moment, and fortunately I was in the right place at the right time, for once. They don't half do some damage to a wet golf course. ft Quote Link to post

flytie 1
Nice going – looks like a heavy one. She weighed 58lbs after she was fully dressed out, head off and legs taken off at the joints but still with her jacket on. And looks very nice in my chiller She did have an amniotic sac but it was just liquid. Unfortunately the owner of the course has no option but to continue to cull as they make such a mess of the course. Ideally, I would not cull does after Christmas but because of local circumstances, and to keep the stalking, I will keep going untill the end of the season on this, and near neighbouring patches. The course butts up against a large wood which is owned by a violent anti, and they come out of this sanctuary and trash the greens. It is not so bad when it is frosty or dry, but when they start chasing one another around in the wet the little beggars can really make a mess, and then no-one wants to pay to play on that sort of surface. I am trying to convince the course owner that he should not get a License to cull all year round, but i might be fighting a losing battle. It is after all his livelihood. ft Quote Link to post

flytie 1
Well done FT,I bet the golf club owner was happy, shes a fair size ATB Andy You'd think so wouldn't you, but no. "Just the one, is that all", were the exact words. Still, he was pleased with the fillets I delivered today. I had another this morning, just to keep the chiller filled you understand I put up a free-standing seat yesterday, near where i showed you my lean-to (now moved), it gives a great veiw down two fairways, and then I christened it this morning I use Arbus Cobra 5m cables to secure my seats, with a good padlock. They are plastic covered and make less noise than chains for securing the seats. I need two of them for the free-standing high seat, secured to a nice big tree. ft Quote Link to post

flytie 1
Well done again, were they anywhere near the marks we saw when you showed me your high seat. Andy No Andy, they were about 150 yards down that fairway, coming from the main entrance to the course and heading down to the rough by the river. The marks we saw, i think, are being made as they come out at night. I have not seen any there in the morning, as yet. ft Quote Link to post

flytie 1
looks a nice one WB, I had the tenderloin fillets for lunch today, they were delicious. Damn the cholesterol, I fried them in butter with garlic, S&P, a couple of freerange eggs, fresh crusty bread and butter It's a good job the wife doesn't read this as i am supposed to be being careful with what i eat. Mind, I didn't waste much ft Quote Link to post
