hi,

has anybody ever put a bend in there own stock to make it fit them,i phoned the local shops and they want £300 for the fitting and altering, when i asked how they did it he said they pour hot oil on it then put it in a cast or jig, called(casting)

so what does the cast/jig look like? what oil? where do you bend it from? how long do you bend it for?

there were a few more alterations to do but i can do them,if anybody has any answers it would really help, any pics of a cast/jig would be good as well.

thanks tl

doesnt sound like a job for the faint hearted, you might want to consider how much the gun is worth before your D.I.Y kicks in,i might have some old pics on measurements some where, ill have look not promising though, good luck with it mate

thanks willum,

i thought it sounded a lot of money, they wanted £70 for the fitting on the range(1 hour),£140 for the casting, and £70+ for the lengthening,

so i phoned another shop and they said "the fitting was free, the casting was £140+£40-£70 for lengthening too,

i guess more phone calls to be made!!!

thanks tl
