hi i was thinking about buying a 1st cross deerhound+greyhound bitch 22months old i would be using it for fox

ask the person if you can hav a trial with it before buying see how keen the dogs is atb

sa ive posted before had a brilliant d/hound x g/hound on rabbits and hares day and night on feild and fen but she wouldnt look at the big stuff even the ones that dont bite back .

Spot on pal, most deerhound/greyhounds ive seen take fox with ease but i guess you get the odd dog in any cross that wont have you asked why the dog hasnt come across a fox by now at that age that would be an answer i would be looking for if it was me,could be said dog will not take larger stuff thats why its for sale

i asked a good friend of my fathers about a dog for foxs last september he is big into his dogs.he foned me last nite an told me about this dog.he said a friend of his owns a few dogs an they have to be sold the man had an accident he fell about 20ft an is badly broken and cant look after them. my fathers friend says he wouldnd start the dog working till its 2 an a half he said they are late starters an you can damage them if they work to soon he thinks the dog will be dynamite when it does start

2 and ahalf thats ajoke i ythink get it out and see what it can do i didnt read th ehole post but 2 and ahalf is abit old to start running them ,my mate had apure deerhound years ago before i was old enough to have adog he had it out from ayear and it was agood dog catching all sorts ,2 and a half hees having alaugh mate
