hi all, just thought id put a quick post up abot mine and sambams outing last night, he brought his 10/11 month old pup up mine and i took my 10 month old pup out for a mooch, sambams was the first slipped and missed so slipped him again and he took the bunny after a decent run (not bad for his first proper outing) his recall was a little shaky but we put that down to excitement and lack of experiance, slipped my pup on the next but it got away into the woods! so slipped him on another he was up its arse and it seemed to run full pelt straight into a hole!!! DAMN IT lol over the next fields sams got another mine kept missing but returned pretty much straight away so i was happy with that, i cant remember how many hs dog caught over there it might of been just the two?? anyway turned for home as the warm up was over and it was time to get up to the farm.

I decided to leave my pup at home and take the other dog as i needed to get a few as the farmer wanted me to leave 5 or 6 for him so away we went to the farm. sams took another couple up there and ran really really well the recall started to get better the retrieve just wasnt there lol sam your dogs just young and i reckon if you keep practising the retrieve and recall mate he will become an A1 dog next season, my other dog took about 8?? 9?? cant remember?? we left the farmer 6 (forgot to take pics of them lol) and cracked onto his other fields, again sam slipped his dog and it ran brilliant turning the bunny a few times before again catching it, in the last field we decided to let both dogs have a run about although mine had started limping quite bad, his dog was following mine around and when i recalled him sams dog came back too which was good all in all it was a good night with a young dog, it didnt embarass you at all sam, worked hard but not too hard which is always good for a young one on its first proper night out i think with a bit of time over the summer spent on him he will be a demon next season and you should be well impressed with yourself and him he's a credit to you, if you want to go out again your more than welcome to come up here anytime just get in touch pal :clapper::clapper: ..atb daks :)

yeah we had a really good night me and my dog both loved it, glad you did the write up daks im shit at stuff like that, shame you missed the part about the seatbelt lol, i was over the moon with my pup even with his little problems but hopfully he will come right, buster the older dog was awsome to watch work, taking bunnies out the seats, retriving over walls and through holes in the walls, even putting himself back on his lead lol, buster was exellent for his age and anyone thinking of using him for stud should not think twice, i for one would take a pup out of him without hesitation. the total bag was 13 with my pup doin 3-4 and buster doing the rest. thanks for a good night out daks we will do it agin in the future
