adymorris 0
I've got a Richter Optik 3-9x50IR on my 10/22 and a Simmons 6x40 on my bolt action anything along those lines will do i.e Hawke, Richter Optik, Bushnell etc - most non IR scopes tend to have thicker posts so will be easier to see the cross hairs under the lamp which is something to consider. Your right though many scopes available at that price range - I'd suggest having a look through a few to see what your eye prefers and what reticle type you like the look of Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
JSR and Nikko Sterling also worth a look, as well as others already mentioned. On top of a rimfire you can get away with a lot and there is a lot to choose from, check out as many as you can before you part with money! Quote Link to post
bicykillgaz 1
i've got a cz-452 varmint .22lr with a centerpoint 4-16x56 with 30mm tube, sidewheel parallax, mil-dot il ret red/green i paid £195 but you can get them cheaper on opticswarehouse for round the £100 mark if you want something with less twiddly bits, there quality scopes and you'd struggle to find a scope as good for the money i looked at all the usual suspects and the centerpoint was far superior for similar money. Finkley 1
Obviously all personal preference, but, have a think about whether you need adjustable parralax on a .22lr. It's a quick point and shoot rifle for me, using IR for speedy target acquisition under a lamp. I had a parralax adjustable Leupold sans IR on it for a while and I found it to be less appropriate for the caliber than my cheap and nasty Hawke Nite-Eye. The Leupold is far happier sat on the HMR which can make better use of the quality and ability to fine-tune the picture. Just a thought. Steve Quote Link to post
Colster 1
I agree with the Keep it simple principle, so on that note: Simmons Aetec 2.8-10x44 Mint Condition Strong as an Ox, no fiddly bits, just good quality lenses that suck in lots of light and the best tolerance for eye relief I've ever had on a scope even on high mag you can see full view through it without having to have your head a precise distance from the scope which makes it great for shooting from a variety of positions.
